How’s the weather?
Who knows these days? We never really know. Even with all of the technology and man’s greatest accomplishments, the weather still sometimes eludes us. A day that is supposed to be 70 degrees sometimes never gets out of the 40’s and the polar opposite can be true as well. Do you ever sit and ponder the things in our world that we have no control over? There are too many to count.
Yet, control is one of our biggest concerns in life. With all of the things we want to control and can’t, we still try our best to rule over those things. Money, careers, family life, all of those things are in our perceived realm of control and yet any of them can slip from our grasp at any moment. Things happen that remind us that we do not control everything and in many ways don’t control anything. A change in the economy and/or job can change our finances, a tragedy or other life changing event can change our families. It is in those times that we are reminded about the limits of our control and the feelings of helplessness that go along with it.
When coming to these points of what feel like no return, thankfully, we can cry out to God for help. We can lift our eyes and hope to hear his voice. It is in those times that we can rely on our Creator, the one who molded us into this own image. We can cry out in agony to God depending on him for guidance, depending on him for comfort in times when no one can comfort us. We don’t want to only seek God in those times of course, but it is in those times that we are reminded that he is there for us. He is there as the loving Father who knows our hearts, fears and questions. He knows the path that we are walking and the path we need to be. Reach out to him today, regardless of your circumstances. Reach out to him and thank him for who he is, who you are and where you are going, together…
