Happy New Year! Or better yet, 2020 is finally gone!! At the end of 2019, we probably never dreamed that we would be so glad to get rid of a year as much as we have 2020. But here we are, moving into a new year with excitement and joy. Not necessarily the joy of the coming year but the joy of getting out of the old one is what surrounds us. It is the close of a year that we won’t look back fondly on. Good riddance we say and with good reason.
Moving into a new year means so many things. New things, new promises and new chances. We look forward to an unknown that we hope is better than the unknown we just came out of. With such a stressful year now in the past, it is a good time to prepare for what’s next.
Use the chance to start fresh and do it. Resolutions are for a reason. A fresh start, a reset. Use this new time in our lives to reset where you are. Trust me, you’re not the only one, who has been stressed in 2020. You are also not the only one, who may have felt not so close to God in 2020. We have been pushed to our limits in many ways. God has been there of course, but many have been just too beaten down to find him. He is still there for you!! Ready and willing just like always. Don’t be discouraged any longer, just like he was the God of everything in 2020 and before, he is the God of everything in 2021. Knowing that should lift our hearts. Knowing that gives us reason to praise him. Knowing that, gives us the confidence to know that no matter what 2021 may hold, God is there, like always.
